How to Set Up Ubigi in Thailand

Ubigi uses QR code activation. Follow these steps to get connected.

  1. 1

    Purchase your plan

Visit the Ubigi website or app and select your preferred data plan for Thailand. Complete the checkout process.

  2. 2

    Receive your QR code

After payment, Ubigi will send you a QR code via email or display it in the app. This code contains your eSIM profile.

  3. 3

    Scan the QR code

On your phone, go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. Point your camera at the QR code. The eSIM profile will download in about 30 seconds.

  4. 4

    Label your eSIM

Name your new eSIM line (for example, "Thailand Data") so you can easily identify it in your settings. Set it as the primary line for mobile data.

  5. 5

    Activate in Thailand

When you arrive, enable the eSIM data line in your cellular settings. Your phone will connect to DTAC automatically. The plan validity begins at first connection.

Tips for Using Ubigi in Thailand

Install before you fly

Download the Ubigi eSIM profile while you are on WiFi at home. This ensures everything is ready when you land in Thailand.

Verify network selection

After activation, check that your phone is connected to DTAC. Go to Settings > Cellular > Network Selection and verify the network name.

Enable data roaming

Some phones require "Data Roaming" to be enabled for eSIM plans to work abroad. This is safe with an eSIM since you are using a prepaid plan, not your home carrier's roaming.

Contact support if needed

Ubigi offers customer support via their app, email, and live chat. If your eSIM is not connecting in Thailand, reach out before troubleshooting on your own.
