Nomad connects to KT and LG U+ in South Korea, providing good coverage quality. Here is what that means for your experience.
Nomad uses QR code activation. Follow these steps to get connected.
Visit the Nomad website or app and select your preferred data plan for South Korea. Complete the checkout process.
After payment, Nomad will send you a QR code via email or display it in the app. This code contains your eSIM profile.
On your phone, go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. Point your camera at the QR code. The eSIM profile will download in about 30 seconds.
Name your new eSIM line (for example, "South Korea Data") so you can easily identify it in your settings. Set it as the primary line for mobile data.
When you arrive, enable the eSIM data line in your cellular settings. Your phone will connect to KT automatically. The plan validity begins at first connection.
Download the Nomad eSIM profile while you are on WiFi at home. This ensures everything is ready when you land in South Korea.
After activation, check that your phone is connected to KT. Go to Settings > Cellular > Network Selection and verify the network name.
Some phones require "Data Roaming" to be enabled for eSIM plans to work abroad. This is safe with an eSIM since you are using a prepaid plan, not your home carrier's roaming.
Nomad offers customer support via their app, email, and live chat. If your eSIM is not connecting in South Korea, reach out before troubleshooting on your own.
