How to Set Up Nomad in China
Nomad uses QR code activation. Follow these steps to get connected.

Purchase your plan
Visit the Nomad website or app and select your preferred data plan for China. Complete the checkout process.

Receive your QR code
After payment, Nomad will send you a QR code via email or display it in the app. This code contains your eSIM profile.

Scan the QR code
On your phone, go to Settings > Cellular > Add eSIM > Use QR Code. Point your camera at the QR code. The eSIM profile will download in about 30 seconds.

Label your eSIM
Name your new eSIM line (for example, "China Data") so you can easily identify it in your settings. Set it as the primary line for mobile data.

Activate in China
When you arrive, enable the eSIM data line in your cellular settings. Your phone will connect to China Mobile automatically. The plan validity begins at first connection.

Install before you fly

Verify network selection
